Beaver Point Hall Christmas Craft Fair Menu Design  Draw a picture 1/2 a page at most and bring it in to the Phoenix school office on or before Monday November 14. Write your name and phone # on the back.

The winner will see their picture on our menu at the craft fair Dec. 2, 3, and 4 and will receive a free kids meal at the fair!!! Thank you Justine and Jasmin

this is a theatre piece by a Vancouver actor Diana David on the theme of acceptance and differences

She was a finalist for So You Think You Can Dance first season, and has performed for troupes, festivals and events. She is a short-list talent for Electronic Arts’ motion capture team with her movements spotted in such games as Face Breaker, Harry Potter, Red Alert and Army of Two.

Learning Design Partners students were invited to participate in an Island Conservancy field trip with Phoenix school to historic Cusheon cove . They learned about Forestry and stewardship.

Picnic June

Friday June 10th 11.30 -2.00pm

You are invited and most welcome to come to our Family picnic

We are hoping this will be an annual event at the end of the year to come together for some fun and farewells. We are planning face painting, games, crafts and good friends and company. If you want to bring some music that would be great too.

Bring your own picnic and something to share ( small dip or fruit etc)

any resources you may wish to return

any Freecycle old books or games you may think another family may want to use

a smile and we hope it will be sunny fingers crossed

Welcome

We have many new students joining so how about you meet everyone at a beach picnic ? time and place to follow

I will be contacting all our families in the first week to visit and hear about your summer. As we know, in home learning it is not confined to a school year but happens every day and every

where.

I want to hear how you want your child’s learning experience will look and provide you with all the resources we can.

This is the time of year for us to get together and plan perhaps our end of year event or start of year event to enrich our program. Lets find a way to make it happen.

We have more students requesting to be part of the Hybrid program with Phoenix which is wonderful in making connections to this resource. This year they have many exciting hands on learning experiences planned. It is important those students be sure to keep in touch with Phoenix to attend every day of the first week of orientation. This will help your child feel most comfortable welcome and part of the phoenix Family.

A recent teacher training session in Parksville on reading strategies prompted me to discover this video link.

Although a very busy time to meet with our families it is also so exciting as we are given the chance to see some very talented students creations.

This is a watercolour painting of trees completed by Parker. He not only knows so much about trees, he is an excellent climber and also explained to me the process of sublimation.
